Honey And Chocolate Cookies
I love honey, and I love chocolate.
So why not combine both into a soft and chewy cookie? This recipe is super simple and quick to make.
You can also add nuts or dried fruit if you want, or add a hint of cinnamon.
Happy Baking!
Ingredients
200g flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
70g oats
100g chocolate chips
115g honey
65g light brown sugar
200g butter (room temperature)
1 egg
salt
vanilla extract
Method
Preheat the oven to 175°C (fan) and line a baking tray with baking parchment.
Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, oats, sugar, vanilla extract (to taste) and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
Add the honey, butter and egg and beat until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Use an ice cream scoop (or about 2 tablespoons) to scoop the dough onto the baking tray. Leave enough space for them to expand.
Bake for 15 min or until lightly browned on the sides. The centres will still look soft.
Allow the cookies to cool for 5 min before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
